ABOUT
I'm a guy who is getting more liberal as I get older. I can't explain it. I'm still learning my roles as a father and husband and realize that I will probably never stop learning. I try to take it one day at a time (Sweet Jesus!) and not to take on more than I can handle.
HighSchool: Kansas High School
College: Oklahoma City University
Music: If it sounds good to me, I will listen to it - Cash, Yoakam, Eagles of Death Metal, The Killers, Korn, Johnny Flynn, Beethoven, Mozart and well, you get the idea. I can't stand a lot of the top 40 stuff and today's "country."
TV: The Simpsons, My Name Is Earl, any poker show, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and sports.
Books: My favorite of all time is 1984 by Orwell. I don't know why, but I really like it. I also like any book by Robert J. Conley. I also just finished The Grapes of Wrath and loved it. I can't believe it took me almost 33 years to read it.
Sports: Football is my favorite to watch and play. I also like running, playing hoops and golfing. I enjoy watching running, hoops, baseball and hockey.
Interests: I love spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy reading, writing (although I don't get to do much anymore), watching TV, poker, cooking (especially BBQ and chili) and pretty much enjoying life.
Movies: I don't get to watch movies like I used to since my wife Lisa and I brought Sadie home from the hospital. She's not really ours, we just brought her home from the hospital. Seriously, not a whole lot of time watching movies anymore, but I like Stanley Kubrick movies, Farrelly brothers, Coen brothers and lots of others.
BestFeatures: I can anger a waitress at a bar without even trying. Well, I don't know if that's a good feature, but it happens. My friends have seen it.
Dreams: I used to want to write for Rolling Stone magazine until I started reading it and realized that a lot of the stories were written from the writers' perspectives, which I think removes the reader, and that many of the stories were porely writn.
